General Bagheri: No Threat Against Iran Will Go Unanswered
WANA (May 11) – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri stated that the Islamic Republic is fully prepared to defend its national interests and territorial waters, warning that no threat against Iran will go unanswered.
Speaking during a high-level visit to southern Iran, Bagheri emphasized the readiness of the Iranian Armed Forces to confront any potential scenario. “We are fully prepared to defend our national interests and the Persian Gulf. The Islamic Republic’s armed forces are ready for all circumstances, and no threat will be left unanswered,” he declared.
Bagheri arrived in the strategic port city of Bandar Abbas accompanied by Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, and Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Navy. The visit included inspections of combat and operational units, as well as an assessment of the military’s readiness in Hormozgan Province.
He explained that the visit to the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Sea of Oman was aimed at evaluating the operational conditions in the region and the preparedness of Iran’s Armed Forces—particularly the Navy units of both the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—in protecting the country’s territorial and international waters, as well as national resources.
“Field assessments will be conducted to ensure readiness for the execution of various operational plans,” Bagheri said, adding that Iran’s armed forces maintain a state of full preparedness to defend the nation under any circumstances.
